Up Down Cut (2+2 Compression) Hercules Max Life Carbide
Product Description
Hercules Max Life Spirals are engineered for maximum bit life when cutting highly abrasive materials. Ideal for long production runs in laminated boards, MDF, HPL, HDF, MFC and Birch plywood, etc.
Compression spiral router bits for a superior top and bottom edge finish, also referred to as up-down cut spirals.
2+2 Compression for 2 flutes in up cut and 2 flutes in down cut (2 flutes in both directions).
Also, a very useful router bit for achieving good finishes across end grains as shear direction and chip clearance are directed inwards.
'Mortise style compression': designed with shorter up cut flutes; applying a down shear action to the top surface during shallow cuts. Great for dado cutting and shallow pocketing. The shorter up cut length also reduces the amount of upward lift on materials.
Suitable for CNC, portable hand held routers and router tables.
