Pierce and trim operations where the solid pilot acts as the guide (no ball bearing guide).
Generally for robust, time saving trimming operations.
The plunge panel router bit is ideal for trimming thin boards, veneers and laminates.
Longevity of the cutting edge is proportional to the mass of material to be trimmed, the less the mass of material to be trimmed the longer the cutting edge of the router bit will remain effective. Keep in mind that these are trimming bits. Minimise the amount of material to be trimmed, especially when attempting to cut thicker boards.
