The stair tread and bottom cleaning bits from Southeast Tool Inc. are designed for smoother surfacing, dado and groove clean out, milling, etc.
Perhaps not as efficient in plunging as the mortising style bits that have a wide gullet; choose this bit for a smoother surface finish. The cutting face is angled upward providing an up-shear which improves chip clearance.
The addition of a shank mounted bearing and lock collar will also allow the user to pattern rout.
Compatible with CNC, table mounted routers and hand held routing.
