Whiteside’s brass inlay kit allows you to make perfect fitting inlays for decoration and repairs. Simply cut your template from 6.35mm (1/4”) thick material and trace cut it with your router to cut both the cavity in your workpiece and the matching inlay to be inserted. Instructions are included. The kit includes a special centre pin to insure exact alignment with the router spindle.
Whiteside 9500 includes:
- RD1600 solid carbide down cut spiral with 3.18mm (1/8”) cutting diameter
- RD1600's smaller cutting diameter allows finer work and entry into tighter corners
- only the cutting length of the RD1600 has free plunging travel through the guide bush aperture (aperture is smaller than 1/4" shank)
Whiteside 9501 includes:
- RD2075 solid carbide down cut spiral with 6.35mm (1/4”) cutting diameter
- RD2075 allows deeper inlays and clears more material faster
- the 1/4" diameter of the RD2075 has free plunging travel through aperture over the full length of bit
Important notes:
- the 9500 and 9501 kits are not compatible with each other (not interchangeable)
- the router base required for fitting the guide bush must have a clear 30.16mm (1-3/16") diameter aperture
- our typical router base diagrams may not represent your router's base plate; your router might require a proprietary base plate adapter supplied by the router manufacturer/supplier; reference the diagrams provided for guidance on aperture and recess dimensions only
