Fibreglass Plunge Point
Product Description
Whiteside SC90V solid carbide plunge point router bit for fibreglass.
The v-point on SC90V will allow the bit to plunge. Avoid using the bit for boring applications in thick fibreglass material. Boring in thick material or remaining static (lulling) without feeding will quickly induce heat build-up through friction, leading to the resin becoming 'sticky' and clogging the cutting edge.
The design of this bit does not lend itself to cutting wood/timber - avoid cutting timber.
Fibreglass is a durable plastic composite material, composed of layers of glass fibres which are bonded together with resins.
Machined in the USA by Whiteside Machine Co.
Suitable for CNC, router table and hand-held router operations.
