2+2 Compression Spiral (Up Down Cut 2 Flute)
Product Description
Compression spiral router bits for trimming of board edges and CNC nesting. Ideal for laminates and veneered boards where both top edge and bottom edge require best finish with minimum sanding requirements. Compression bits are also a useful cutting solution for hardwoods and softwoods where top edge and bottom edge splintering is greatly reduced.
Compression spirals are also referred to as 'up-down-cut' spirals. 2+2 Compression for 2 flutes in both directions, likewise 1+1 compression and 3+3 compression. The up cut flutes are arranged on the end of the bit and down cut flutes nearer the shank.
Chip clearance is directed inwards towards the meeting/lapping of the up cut and down cut flutes.
Machined from the finest industrial grade micro grain carbide, recommended for general purpose.
Suitable for CNC industrial production, table mounted routers and for hand held routing.
