CARBIDE SPIRALS - METRIC SHANK

2+2 Compression Chip Breaker with Nano Coating

Product Description

The multi chip breaker format for increased CNC feedrates, chips are reduced in size and therefore evacuated faster.

The chip breakers are arranged in a staggered format, 1 flute cuts a finishing cut and the opposite flute cuts a chip breaker.

Theoretically a semi-finishing spiral bit, finishing cut edges to a finish quality somewhere between a finishing spiral and a roughing spiral.

The Mach Industrial multi chip breaking compression spiral offers higher grade tungsten carbide and a progressive PVD coating.

Coatings for demanding cutting operations, harder tool surface increases longevity, low friction surface for faster chip ejection and higher working temperature handling.

Excelling in CNC applications, cutting abrasive man-made boards like MDF, HDF, MFC, high pressure laminates (HPL); Birch plywood, valchromat, etc.

Compression spirals (also called up/down cut spirals) produce a superior edge finish to double-sided laminates and veneered boards.

2+2 Compression router bits for 2 flutes in both directions, chip clearance is directed inwards.

'Mortise style compression': the compression bit is designed with shorter up-cut end flutes, allowing the down cut spiral to engage the top surface during shallow cuts, producing a better finish on the top surface.

Great for CNC dado cutting, grooving, pocketing and nesting.

Compatible with CNC, table mounted routers and for hand held routing.
