1 Flute Solid Carbide Straight Cut
Product Description
• Solid carbide straight cutting router bits for plunging and milling operations.
• Solid carbide router bits are machined from a single piece of high grade tungsten carbide (no brazed cutting tips).
• Useful for trimming of stock, dado grooves, mortising, etc.
• Solid carbide bits are plunge proficient - one of their main advantages over standard brazed tipped cutters.
• 1 Flute straight cut router bits are good for cutting operations where feedrates are slow. Slow feedrates result in faster heat generation (as good chip loads cannot be achieved, also more flutes produce more friction).
• 1 Flute bits also utilise the power of a router/spindle more efficiently as all the power is directed behind 1 cutting edge. The power of a router/spindle is divided between all cutting edges engaging in the cut so 1 flute bits are driven by 100% of the spindle power.
• 1 Flute straight cut can produce the same finish as a 2 flute bit but at a slower feedrate (at a fixed RPM).
• Compatible with CNC, table mounted routers and hand held routing.
