Staggertooth Straight Flute
Product Description
The straight cutting staggertooth router bit has 2 single flutes aligned at 180º to each other and unlike standard 2 flute bits the flutes on the Staggertooth are staggered one above the other. Thus each flute cuts as a ‘single flute’ but provides 2 flute balance.
Designed for fast production work (quicker feed rates) where finish is of lesser concern and excels in CNC works. The staggertooth will provide proficient chip clearance and fast plunging and is an economical alternative to twin flute bits - useful for deep slotting and mortising. Hand held routing with the staggertooth may prove slightly unsettling for the first time user of these bits.
Install bearing and lock collar on shank to enable pattern or template routing.
Compatible with CNC, table mounted routers and hand held routing.
All Whiteside’s cutting tips are hand brazed, precision ground and made from American industrial grade micro grain tungsten carbide.
